Advent Wreath 2019
Material for 1 mouse:
- Pieces of cotton fabric
- 20 cm ribbon fot tail
- 50 cm ribbon for arms and legs
- 25 cm wire
- 18 cm ribbon or lace
- Small piece of batting material
- 5 acrylic pearls
- Small ribbon bow
- Glue
- 2 eyes for glueing
- Polyester thread
Instruction:
Prepare the stencil.
Cut out of fabric with about 0,8 cm seam allowance: 2 x body part, 1 x back part, 4 x ear.
Now prepare the mouse tail, insert wire into ribbon.
Finished mouse tails are looking like this:
For the legs you need 30 cm ribbon, the remaining 20 cm are for the arms of the mouse.
Put 2 layers of fabric together for the 1 ear, sew around stencil (you can also draw the ear line directly on the fabric), then turn the ear. make a 2nd ear. (Use polyester thread).
Take 1 layer of the body parts put the back part on top, insert the mouse tail in the middle (--> foto) and sew around slowly, use a zigzag stitch.
Then fold the leg ribbon by half and sew it on wrong side of this body part (be carfeful when sewing over the wire).
Now sew bod parts together, bend the mouse tail down while sewing around the seam line, leave the last 3 cm open.
Turn mouse body on right side, make a zigzag stitch around bottom edge.
Then sew ribbon or lace aroung the bottom zigzag line.
Now sew the open 3 cm (I left it open because it is easier to sew on a ribbon or lace).
Sew the 2 ears together (one on top of the other, --> foto).
Insert batting material into head of mouse, but not too much. Then sew on the arm ribbon with a few zigzag stitches on neck line while doing a few pleats --> foto.
On back side of the mouse body fix the tail with a few stitche by hand, sew a small bow on the mouse`head.
Now attach the ears on front neck line, fold head down and fix it with a few stitches onto the body of the mouse. Then glue eyes on its face and acrylic pears on arms, legs and tail --> foto.

And finish the Advet`s Wreath. Have fun with the colorful mice.
