A small cosmetic bag
Material:
- Cotton fabric 20 x 45 cms
- Polyester lining 20 x 45 cms
- 1 Zipper 12 cms
- 2 Zippers 24 cm
- 2 carabiner hooks for the handle
- 2 halfrings
- Interfacing material for ironing on, 20 x 45 cms
- Sequins and beads
- Polyester thread
- Trim ribbon, 60 cms
- Elastic band 30 cms
- Small piece of stronger fabric, i.g. linen or strong cotton
- Small piece of velcro
- Ribbon for handle about 170 cms (or you make one by yourself : stronger cotton fabric 5 x 170 cm)
Instruction:
Fold the fabric and the lining and cut one edge round --> Foto.
Iron interfacing fabric on back side of cotton. Sew trim ribbon on left and right side.
Arrange sequins and beads, sew them by hand, use polyester thread (double).
Prepare the lining with a zipper pockets (use the 12 cm-zipper)-->see my instructions:

Make also an elastic holder for your mascara, eyeliner, lippstick,...:
Use a piece of fabric, about 4 x 20 cms, iron interfacing material on back side, the sew a trim ribbon on each side and pin the elastic band with various loops, then sew it several times -because it should hold if you take your cosmetics in and out.
Then sew it on the other side of the lining.
Sew also two small straps (use a stronger material) for the halfrings.
Fold the cotton material to half (mark the middle left and right side with it a pencil - pin the two 24 cms -zippers -start from the middle of the upper edge until the mark of the left and right side, insert the prepared halfrings - one each side, then sew it, turn it, iron it carefully (don´t iron over the sequins !)
After having sewn the zippers pin the prepared lining upside down and sew alls again.
If you like you can make a strap with a trimming ribbon and a piece of velcro for closing. -- > Foto
For the handle prepare a ribbon of 170 cms length, sew a carabinder hook on each side.
Now you can go to the beach, having all the cosmetics and sun protection, towels,...with you.
